INTRESYS Announces Release of New Sheriff Evictions Application

02/23/2007

Redwood City, California - February 23, 2007 - INTRESYS, technology providers of TurboCourt and EZLegalFile e-solutions for the courts and other government agencies, announced today that the addition of a brand new application type for Sheriff's Offices has been added to TurboCourt for San Mateo County, California.

The Sheriff Evictions application allows individuals, businesses and attorneys prepare their forms to request that the Sheriff perform an eviction once a signed Judgment is received from the Court.

The program helps users prepare a detailed Instructions to the Sheriff, as well as the Writ of Possession of Real Property, a court document required before the eviction can proceed.

"We designed the application in cooperation with the Sheriff's Office to be sure they received the information they need to execute evictions as efficiently and safely as possible," states Mr. Steve Kimmelman, Program Manager of INTRESYS.

"In addition to providing the user with lots of helpful tips, we prompt them to include all the specific details that the Deputy Sheriffs find invaluable, such as whether the occupants of the premises are known to be violent, involved with drugs or gangs, have weapons, or if there are dangerous animals or other hazards present."

"Furthermore, we ask users to provide details about other potential issues that may hinder the eviction, such as the presence of disabled or handicapped individuals, locked entryways, and difficult to find locations," continues Mr. Kimmelman.

The new Sheriff Evictions application will result in fewer eviction requests not being completed due to inaccurate or incomplete forms.

The Superior Court of San Mateo, sponsors of EZ Legal File, the suite of interactive, Internet-based programs for self-represented litigants based on the TurboCourt platform, has announced that since its launch in October 2001, over 10,000 people across twelve counties have used the Family Law program to complete their forms. During this timeframe, the application has run continuously without a single service call required.
